Washington, Aug 13 - Congresswoman Betsy Markey today released a busy schedule of public meetings that will focus on federal health care reform proposals currently being considered by Congress.  Rep. Markey will be listening to constituent concerns and answering questions regarding the proposals.

“This month we’ll be talking about one of the biggest and most critical issues facing our country – reforming America’s health care system,” said Rep. Markey. “I’ll be meeting with people across Northern and Eastern Colorado to hear their thoughts, questions and concerns, and to have a frank and constructive conversation about the future of health care in Colorado.”

Rep. Markey will host a series of Congress on Your Corner listening sessions, roundtables and office hours, as well as a telephone town hall meeting with over 40,000 4th District residents.

In addition to public meetings, Rep. Markey will also visit and hold town hall meetings with the owners and staffs of more than a dozen businesses across Northern Colorado about how federal health care reform proposals may impact small businesses in the region.
